Employees union stages protest, demands safety of Kashmiris outside Valley | KNO

Srinagar, February 18 (KNO) : Amid tense situation in Jammu, Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) headed by Aijaz Ahmad Khan Monday hit the streets to protests against what they termed as growing attacks on Kashmiris in Jammu and students studying in colleges and Universities outside the Valley. EJCC members led by Khan assembled in Press Colony amid raising pro-employees sloganeering. They demanded state administration led by Governor Satya Pal Malik to ensure safety of Kashmiris including students, traders as well as employees outside the Valley. As per KNO Correspondent, Khan said Kashmiri students studying in various colleges and universities outside Jammu and Kashmir are facing harassment. “The attacks on them must be stopped forthwith,” they said. Employees association later urged State administration to ensure safety of all Kashmiris and those who suffered losses in recent attacks be compensated.(KNO)
